Baseball is a Dangerous Sport
The La Grande team almost looked like they were going 10 run the Ontario Tigers until the 4th inning, when suddenly we couldn't score & they began to creep up on us, tying the game at 11 all in the 6th inning. (Yikes) Seventh inning, still tied. Then finally in the 8th inning, Erik gets on base, Logan gets hit with a pitch, and Carson hits one over the first baseman's head to win the game. It was the same kind of hit Carley made to win her softball playoff game.
Chase tried to snap his ankle playing legion ball, so I guess all my children have survived the most dangerous game... at least in high school.

A Typical Morning at Turtle Bay
My other tough decisions revolve around what snacks I will eat :)
There's rarely anyone out here, except for a few fishermen... although on the first Monday of Spring Break I counted 3 families... crazy, crowded Spring Break!
I guess if more folks thought it was as great as Honolulu, it would ruin the whole experience.
that way I can sit & watch the waves, listen to a book on tape, and snap a picture or two.
I am constantly improving my "self-portraits", and walking back home as soon as my apple is gone helps me limit my sun time (yes, I know I am weird)
On the way back through the trees, I always remember to text Big A whenever I see a mongoose... nothing like reminding him that I am in Hawaii while he is stuck in snowy, gloomy Oregon :P
Then back to my little shack in Kahuku...
