2011 Resolutions

1. I WANT to work on family history more. My side is tough, since so much has been done. So... my choices are slogging through it and getting irritated, working on A's side, or entering names for Familysearch.

But... one thing I WILL do is finish Nancy's work when I go to Laie in March.

2. I MUST get on a regular scripture reading program again... I challenged the Senior Primary children to read the four gospels in the New Testament, so that is where I will begin.

3. I LIKE it when I have energy & stamina, so I will find ways to exercise even when the weather is like this...

4. I WANT to graduate from high school again this June, so I need to cut frivolous spending. I also would like to find some part time, flexible employment... online perhaps? I'm always freaking out about money, and I don't want to rent out the condo all the time 'cause I can't afford to live there. :{

I think that's more than enough for starters. Now that it's in writing, the pressure is on to make it happen. Another goal is to post updates once a week to shame myself into becoming a better, stronger, smarter person.

No Whining Allowed

Things I learned at the beach...

There are some places that are still tranquil in the world...

My nose seems to be getting wider, and it's not worth trying to straighten my hair in Hawaii...

Only Chase has guts enough to poke The Belly...

When having Chase & I in the same place, Lanea has a lot of patience...

It might rain 7 inches in a day, but the sun always comes out again...

My family is kooky...

Turtles made with tile "shadows" are too realistic for me...

The boy wants to retire soon...

But can't afford to...

Condo, Part Deux, aka "Thanks Chase!"

After I painted most of the place "Beach Water" (with a bedroom accent wall of "Endless Rain"), Chase was nice enough to critique the work

He then moved on to the washer/dryer door

and offered to touch up a few spots

A & Lanea tried to put the bed frame together

but they couldn't do it without him

More Fixin' Up

Rented a van for the next round of credit card debt

Actually made 2 trips with full loads

Here is one of A's proudest purchases...

a solid wood, carved armoire for $160

But nobody told us about how hard it is to get a box springs to the North Shore...

Thank goodness we bought a sofa sleeper

Our $20 tv looks awfully lonely...
maybe I will bring back all the stuff I've bought in Hawaii over the years :)

All too soon, we had to lock the door behind us & return to the land of freezing temperatures

Gonna Buy Me A Condo...

Still can't believe all this fit in a jeep...

... plus this mattress-in-a-box

Then came the rental van...

Filled to the gills with a table, chairs, sofa, end tables, ...

Too much work, not enough beach...

... but I love this "backyard"

Tree Cuttin' With Cookie

Look, Cookie, look!
How about this tree?
Carley likes this tree!

Cookie likes this tree.

It's the same tree!
Hooray for Cookie!

Do Pa & Carson like the tree?
Yes, yes, they like the tree!
Everyone likes this tree.

No, Cookie, no!
Don't mark the tree!

Saw, Pa, saw!
The tree is cut.

Time to go!
Go, Cookie, go!

Off we go with our tree.
Be careful with the tree, says Cookie!
Be careful with the saw, says Cookie!

Pa helps with the tree.
Carley helps with the tree.
Cookie helps with the tree.

Where did the tree go?

There is the tree!

Time to take the tree home.
